Clark and I are getting ready for our second Europe trip! I plan to use this same blog to keep you all updated. So the old posts from our 2011 trip are still on here, but as I add photos and stories from our new trip those will appear at the top of the web page. This trip itinerary: Rome, Italy; Venice, Italy; Munich, Germany; Lucern, Switzerland; and Paris, France.

July 18th 11:15pm
Clark and I are leaving tomorrow morning (flight takes off from LAX at 11:30) for Europe until August 4th, 2011. We will be visiting Dublin, Ireland; London, England; Brussels, Belgium; Amsterdam, Netherlands; and Prague, Czech Republic. We only have a few days at each location and we are sleeping in hostels, but we plan to see, do, and taste so much! We will be trying to post pictures and stories as we go so you can share in our memories as a newly engaged couple!!!

Switzerland and France

We spent one day in Lucerne, Switzerland and it was so worth the stop! And a perfect short stay since it's so expensive!

We saw the Lion monument- really quite amazing!

Of course we browsed Swiss Chocolate Shops

The view in every direction was just breath taking!!!

Chapel Bridge :)

Beautiful Church... again

Our view sitting having some gelato and coffee on the river...

This was the building we were staying in:

Then off to PARIS! When we arrived after 4 different trains, to our new airBNB, and climbed all 5 flights of stairs we were exhausted.  But ready for Paris! Our first full day in Paris we spent at Disneyland Paris!!!!! SO FUN

Sleeping Beauty Castle

Autopia

The park was neat- very the same- but very different. FUN!

We did a fun walking tour through Paris Montmarte area

And then did the Catacombs in the afternoon- creepy!

Found the Pantheon

And ate a crepe off a cart in the streets :)

And we climbed the Eiffel Tower at night- great views!

The last day we sent to see Palace of Versailles in the morning.

And the Louvre in the afternoon

MONA LISA

And the last night we took a boat tour on the Seine River

Goodbye Europe- until next time! We're ready to head home now <3

Munich , Germany

Munchen Germany!

This stop was so fun! I have really been struggling to stop and find time to write up what we've been up to. But uploading some pictures goes quickly so here is some of our Germany adventures:

Our room was a private apartment in a hotel

These large white asparagus were everywhere. Special stands at the farmers market dedicated to them.

Some pretzel and red dipping cheese in a beer garden.

A photo in a beer tent at the spring festival. Basically a smaller less popular version of Oktoberfest.

 Exploring the next day.

Touch her boob for good luck with love! ;)

A beer hall with live music

Old Town hall

New town hall (backwards looking I know)

So full of beer!!!

Okay I am falling asleep while writing this. So I'll caption more later! Good night!

Venice!

The beautiful canals of Venice!
This stop was for sure a favorite of mine! I loved the streets of water! The first thing we did in Venice was go to the only square in town and go all the wy to the top of the clock tower to get great views of the city-

A canal view-

After exploring s bit we had some great pasta, pizza ands wine!

We found Rialto Bridge

 Some gelati of course!

This is our place- we had the top floor of the yellow building.

Another night of drinks and dinner. These are Spritz. Which is a typical Italian drink (people were drinking this mix of a flavored liquor, white wine and soda at like 10 am) It is pretty bitter!
 And spaghetti!

And I believe this is the church of San Giorgi Maggiore

We went to their fish and vegetables market- the Rialto Market

Another amazing feat of architecture and art- the entrance to San Giovanni Evangelista. This is a charitable institute now after the renaissance.

Delicious baked goods from a small shop. We also had bread from a bakery and cheese from a deli that afternoon.

These are raised pathways to walk when the city floods.

It rained the last morning of the days there. But just a sprinkle! No worries of flooding :)

 Goodbye Venice!
